Tekfen manages its people-, society- and environment-oriented approach through a holistic Sustainability Policy that places sustainability at the centre of its corporate strategy and covers the entire corporate value chain. This policy was updated in 2024, strengthening the institutional foundations of Tekfen’s sustainability strategy by clearly defining responsibilities, targets, and risk and opportunity management.
Ultimate governance responsibility for sustainability rests with the Board of Directors. The Board plays an active role in setting strategy, policies, and targets, allocating resources, and integrating climate change–related risks and opportunities into the overall corporate strategy.
Responsibility for implementation and monitoring has been delegated to the Sustainability Committee and its affiliated working groups. Under the leadership of the Committee, which convened in 2024 with 100% participation, the Carbon Net Zero Roadmap was integrated into the corporate strategy. Five sub-groups—focusing on environment, people and society, innovation, sustainable finance, and production—developed concrete projects through interdisciplinary collaboration. This structure aims to ensure that sustainability commitments are effectively reflected in operations, targets are continuously enhanced, and international best practices are integrated into the organisation in line with Tekfen’s Bridging Prosperity vision.
