In line with the Strategic Plan, to consolidate equipment and modular production capabilities, Ceyhan Manufacturing Facility is structured under Tekfen Manufacturing and Engineering Inc. in November 2023 and Tekfen Manufacturing, plans to relocate its production plant in Derince to the Ceyhan GAT site in the last quarter of 2024.
Fabrication Facilities
Ceyhan
The Ceyhan Manufacturing Plant began operations in 1993 and produces steel pipes and modular structures for projects such as refineries, petrochemical complexes, power plants, marine terminals, oil and gas platforms, bridges and viaducts, and E-houses. The plant has the technology, equipment, and capability to meet the needs of all types of industrial projects on a global scale. It has also been producing stainless, duplex, super duplex carbon alloy and carbon steel pipe spools since 2004. Built on a total area of 160,000 square metres, 37,500 square metres of which is covered, the plant can manufacture 40,000 tonnes of steel per year and 400,000 WDI pipe spools per shift.
Derince
The facility, spanning an area of 19,250 square metres, recorded 126,835 person-hours of labour in 2023. Tekfen Manufacturing, part of whose sales include exports, expanded its portfolio in recent years to include not only its natural market of Middle Eastern countries but also the United States, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Australia. In 2023, the Company exported its first mounded sphere to Benin and continued to expand its LPG sphere manufacturing portfolio with two sphere orders received from Nigeria.
On the domestic front, the production of five process columns and 10 heat exchangers made of titanium- and nickel-alloyed special materials for SASA’s purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant, one of the most important investments in Türkiye, was completed. Again in 2023, the Company completed the manufacture of a 500-tonnes submarine hull included in its production schedule and delivered it to STM.
CTS Bayıl Yard (Baku, Azerbaijan)
The Cenup Tikinti Servis (CTS) Steel Manufacturing Plant, acquired through privatisation from the state in 2003 and subsequently modernised with significant investments, is located 7 km from the capital Baku. This facility supports the Group’s operations in the Caspian region and meets the structural steel manufacturing needs for offshore projects in the area. The plant, located on the Caspian Sea coast, comprises a manufacturing site spanning 122,600 square metres and a factory area of 40,950 square metres. From 1949 to 2003, the plant manufactured and assembled approximately 1,400 oil platforms of various sizes in the Caspian Sea, creating a new and significant competitive advantage for the Group.
With its current capacity, the facility is interested in all industrial and modular oil and gas projects in the Caspian region and is eyeing wind turbine tower manufacturing projects as a potential business area.
Atyrau Pipe Fabrication Facility (Kazakhstan)
The Atyrau Pipe Spool Fabrication Facility, which the Group commissioned in 2019 in Kazakhstan, operates in a closed area of 4,000 square metres on 20 hectares. The facility has a capacity of 150,000 WDI/year, enabling the Group to carry out all of its pipe fabrication work in Kazakhstan and boosting its manufacturing capabilities in the Caspian region.
