At the 33rd Ordinary General Assembly of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK), a ceremony was held to honour two masters of their profession. Awards were made to the late Feyyaz Berker (who for ten years was Chairman of the Executive Board and was also the first Chairman of the Turkey-U.S. Business Council), and to Ali Nihat Gökyiğit, who is an honorary member of the Foreign Economic Relations Board and is also its longest-serving living member. Ali Nihat Gökyiğit received his award from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Foreign Economic Relations Board Chairman Nail Olpak. The award for Feyyaz Berker, meanwhile, was presented to Dr. Ercan Kumcu, a member of Tekfen Holding's Executive Board.
News has also been received of a new appointment at the Foreign Economic Relations Board. During the Elective General Assembly of its Business Councils, held in Istanbul, on 11 January 2020, Emrah İnce (General Manager of TekfenAgri) was elected Chairman of the Turkey-Denmark Business Council for a period of two years.
